District Officers Virtual Meetings Schedule

The Virginia Funeral Directors Association will hold a series of district officers’ meetings in 2021 and 2022. These calls are informative and opens up the lines of communication between the districts and the state association. Discussions include legislation, association events, news and district updates. The meetings will last no longer than 1 hour.

The Zoom meeting information, a reminder e-mail, and agenda will be sent prior to each meeting.

Kayleigh Rosenthal, Commonwealth of Virginia, Public Relations & Marketing Division
Online meeting on Tuesday, March 16th at 6 p.m.
She will be speaking/educating us on unclaimed property within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

I will need to know who all will be attending, as well as the email address where you would like the invitation sent. Please respond with this information no later than Thursday, March 11.

I remain hopeful that we will be able to meet in person very soon, but until then, this will allow you to receive credit toward your CEU’s.

Speaker Information

The Virginia Department of Treasury’s Unclaimed Property Division is a free service offered by the Commonwealth of Virginia to return money to Virginians. It exists thanks to a consumer protection program that states that companies cannot keep funds when they are unable to return those funds to its rightful owner. The Treasury then holds on to all funds reported over once they are considered dormant indefinitely until the legal, rightful owner, or their heir, comes forward to claim.

Kayleigh Rosenthal, PR and Marketing Assistant, with the Virginia Department of the Treasury’s Unclaimed Property Division will be sharing more information about unclaimed property at our May meeting. Kayleigh has been with Unclaimed Property since October 2017. Prior to the Treasury, Kayleigh was at Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia (GSCV) where she served as the Marketing Manager for 4.5 years.

She is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Go Hokies! Kayleigh and her husband, Brandon live in Colonial Heights and have two sons, Colton (4.5 years old) and Cayden (2.5 years old).
